Pinnacle Christian Preschool

It's nice to meet you!

We are very excited about our non-denominational Preschool & Kindergarten Ministry and will strive to provide the loving care and guidance that your child needs as he/she grows and develops.

Purpose

The purpose of our preschool is to provide happy group learning experiences where parents can be assured that their child is loved and well cared for by Christian teachers. We also provide this ministry as an out-reach to the community.

Pinnacle Christian Preschool caters to Preschoolers, Pre-Kindergartners, and Kindergartners! Children who attend Pinnacle Christian Preschool will have the opportunity to grow as a whole. It is our goal to provide a variety of hands-on experiences and activities each day, so that your child will have the opportunity to develop socially, emotionally, physically, academically, mentally and spiritually within an inclusive, nurturing non-denominational Christian environment. Children are permitted to grow at their own pace in order to help them become confident learners and leaders! Our #1 objective at Pinnacle Christian Preschool is that every child feels Loved, Wanted, & Secure.

A structured Preschool and Kindergarten curriculum including thematic units is offered to all children. Thematic units include a variety of enrichment and sensory activities such as: songs, musical instruments, stories, puppets, games, dramatic play, science experiments, sensory bins, stories, finger painting, weekly exercise class, and much more! Each week's lesson plan is unique in hopes to keep children engaged in their learning. Activities provided are geared towards the full development of young children including their spiritual growth in the knowledge of God’s love for them. In addition, a Christian curriculum (Abeka) is used in order to increase students’ math, literacy, reading, writing, science and social studies skills.

What We Do in Preschool

Play Based Learning, Outdoor Play & Exercise

Play is what children do best and enjoy the most. For children, play is their work. Play fosters total development and should be integrated into everything children do. Learning takes place outdoors as well as indoors.  In an outdoor learning area children can develop motor skills, language, social skills, self-confidence, group camaraderie, and can have fun. Our students attend weekly P.E. classes.

Fine-Motor Activities

In the fine motor center children develop small muscles, eye-hand coordination, increase their attention span, improve social skills, and build concepts about size, shape, color, and pattern.

Library & Story Time

In the library children can improve oral language, listening skills, reading readiness skills, and can learn new concepts and develop a love of books. Our students are encouraged to check out books every week!

Music Activities & Lessons

Through music children can improve auditory discrimination and auditory memory, verbal expression, motor skills, creativity, can learn about beat, rhythm, tempo, melody, and can derive personal enjoyment. Our students attend weekly music class, where they learn about many different instruments, including the guitar, drums, piano, microphone, symbols,  ukulele, bells, and more.

Art Activities

Art enhances creative expression in children, social skills, oral language, small motor skills, cooperative skills, imagination, and concepts about size, shape, texture, and color. Further, children can release their feelings and can find aesthetic pleasure through art experiences.

Science Experiments

Through science children are able to experiment, solve problems, make decisions, develop concepts about science and nature, improve language, interact socially, as well as develop sensory skills and math concepts. Sand and water experiences give children sensory pleasure while developing math concepts, small motor skills, social skills, and language.

Chapel

Children are taught Bible lessons, and enjoy making a joyful noise before the Lord in Chapel every week!
We celebrate Psalms 150 during our chapel service:
1 Praise the Lord. Praise God in His sanctuary; praise Him in His mighty heavens.
2 Praise Him for His acts of power; praise Him for His surpassing greatness.
3 Praise Him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise Him with the harp and lyre,
4 Praise Him with timbrel and dancing, praise Him with the strings and pipe,
5 Praise Him with the clash of cymbals, praise Him with resounding cymbals.
6 Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord.
